TSO Climb Rules
8.1 – Cheating & Third-Party Software
You must not use cheats, scripts, macros, or third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.
This includes:
- Automated climbing
- Movement automation
- Speed hacks
- Bunny Hop scripts
- External movement software
- Modified game files intended to provide an advantage
- Any software which automates or assists gameplay
8.2 – Movement Exploits
You may not intentionally abuse unintended movement mechanics to gain an advantage.
This includes unintended:
- Boosts
- Speed
- Jumps
- Strafing mechanics
- Collision behaviour
- Movement interactions
- Map-specific movement exploits
Legitimate movement techniques intended by the gamemode are permitted.
8.3 – Map Exploits
You may not intentionally abuse bugs, glitches, or unintended map mechanics.
This includes:
- Leaving the intended climbing area
- Skipping sections through unintended areas
- Becoming stuck in inaccessible locations
- Exploiting collision
- Bypassing checkpoints
- Using unintended map geometry to gain progress
If you discover an exploit, report it to staff rather than abusing it.
8.4 – Checkpoint Skipping
You must progress through the map in its intended order.
You may not intentionally bypass checkpoints or major sections of a map unless the route is clearly intended by the map.
8.5 – Score & Time Manipulation
You may not manipulate scores, completion times, rankings, records, or other progression systems.
Any result obtained through cheating, exploits, or unintended mechanics may be removed.
8.6 – Record Abuse
You may not intentionally obtain an illegitimate personal or world record.
Records obtained through cheating, exploits, unintended shortcuts, or other prohibited methods may be removed.
8.7 – Chat & Voice Abuse
Voice and text communication must not be used to spam, harass, or deliberately disrupt other players.
This includes microphone spam, soundboard spam, chat flooding, and similar behaviour.
8.8 – Fair Play
Players are expected to play Climb as intended.
You may not intentionally exploit loopholes in these rules or the gamemode to gain an unfair advantage.
If a situation is not specifically covered by these rules, staff may take action where behaviour clearly goes against the intended gameplay or significantly negatively impacts the experience.
