TSO Surf Rules

7.1 – Cheating & Third-Party Software

You must not use cheats, scripts, macros, or third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Automated movement
  • Speed hacks
  • Strafing automation
  • Bunny Hop scripts
  • Aim assistance
  • External movement software
  • Modified game files intended to provide an advantage

Normal configuration and legitimate game settings are permitted.

7.2 – Movement Exploits

You may not intentionally abuse unintended movement mechanics to gain an advantage.

This includes exploits which provide:

  • Unintended speed
  • Unintended acceleration
  • Infinite boosts
  • Unintended air movement
  • Bypassing intended sections
  • Other movement advantages not intended by the gamemode or map

Normal Surf movement techniques are permitted.

7.3 – Map Exploits

You may not intentionally abuse map bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics.

This includes:

  • Leaving the intended course
  • Skipping sections through unintended areas
  • Getting outside the playable map
  • Becoming inaccessible
  • Exploiting collision
  • Bypassing intended checkpoints

If you discover an exploit, report it to staff rather than abusing it.

7.4 – Checkpoint Skipping

You must complete the map through its intended progression.

You may not intentionally bypass checkpoints or sections unless the shortcut is clearly intended by the map.

7.5 – Score & Time Manipulation

You may not manipulate scores, times, rankings, records, or other progression systems.

Any result obtained through exploits, cheating, or unintended mechanics may be removed.

7.6 – Record Abuse

You may not intentionally obtain or submit an illegitimate personal or world record.

Records obtained through cheating, exploits, unintended shortcuts, or other prohibited methods may be removed.

7.7 – Chat & Voice Abuse

Voice and text communication must not be used to spam, harass, or deliberately disrupt other players.

This includes microphone spam, soundboard spam, chat flooding, and similar behaviour.

7.8 – Fair Play

Players are expected to play Surf as intended.

You may not intentionally exploit loopholes in these rules or the gamemode to gain an unfair advantage.

If a situation is not specifically covered by these rules, staff may take action where behaviour clearly goes against the intended gameplay or significantly negatively impacts the experience.
